Ingredients (for 2 Challahs):
Dough:
1 kg all-purpose flour
50g fresh yeast
3/4 cup white sugar
2 large eggs
1 3/4 cups water
1/2 cup canola oil
1 tablespoon fine salt
Glazing and topping:
Cup with some milk
Sesame seeds
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine flour and yeast.
Add sugar, eggs, water, oil, and salt to the bowl and knead until the dough is smooth.
Let the dough rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size.
Divide the dough into two parts. Roll each part into three strips and braid them.
Place the braided dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let it rise again until it doubles in size.
Preheat your oven to 180°C.
Brush the braids with the milk, then sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Bake for 35 minutes, or until the challah is golden brown.
