The first step in making a dream tangible is talking about it as if it's already happening.
We're not yet ready to return to land life, but something in the beautiful houses along the US East Coast inspired us to dream up our future "land house".
I collected everyone's requirements, and this is what came out:
Our future land house,
Must be near the sea so Gal could have a Hobie Cat.
It needs to be in a flat area for comfortable bike riding, skateboarding, and scootering, and OneWheel.
And we'll have a skatepark a ride away.
But there should also be mountains and snow for when it will get too hot.
The beach will have waves for surfing and calm seas for stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking.
And there will be shells to collect, but only a few, so we could still surf on skimboards.
Snorkeling and fishing spots will be nearby without sharks, jellyfish, and other scary creatures.
Our future land house,
Will be like a lighthouse.
It will have enough rooms for everyone to sleep alone, but the beds need to be big enough for us to sleep together.
We'll have an entire room for LEGO and a ninja room with climbing on all the walls and the ceiling.
It will have endless hot water so that Orr can stand under the shower for hours,
and unlimited electricity so Bar can turn on the TV whenever he wants.
The kitchen will be big, with a large island for Dad's cooking.
It needs to be a house, not an apartment, but with a view like we're living on the seventh floor next to the sea so Mom will have a place to do her yoga.
There will be a garden and a sandbox because grass can be itchy.
And we will have lemon and mango trees and lots of mint.
Our future land house,
Will be close enough to our family so we could meet more than once a year.
We'll have friends and a neighborhood where we feel at home.
And school will be fun
We will be normal like everyone else but also different.
Because we'll have a boat ready for us to raise the sails and head out on our sea house for a week, two weeks, or two years, until we have enough.
